Physics Talent Search Competition
Goals :-
- To develop scientific temper among science students.
- To achieve general knowledge and love about Physics.
- To develop analytical thinking.
- To prepare students for various competitive exams.
Context :-
The Department has been organising this competition for the past three years and each year the number is rising. The initial goal behind this event was to create love for Physics by fostering critical thinking among the students at undergraduate level.
The practice :-
- For the competition, the concerned staff of the Department prepares a set of MCQs for students.
- The level of these questions is generally of High school level.
- Students from various streams of science from the college are encouraged to participate in this event.
Evidence of success :-
This competition leads to the development of critical thinking among the students. This helps them in not only developing a love for the subject and thinking out of the box but, also goes a long way in preparing them for various competitive exams in which critical thinking and logical reasoning plays in pivotal role.
