Karmaveer Punjababa Govardhane Art’s, Commerce and Science College, Igatpuri is located in Tribal area. Most of the students belongs to the remote villages are economically and socially deprived of various facilities. The college has focused on the all-round development of the students. - To identify and enhance the talent of the students in the fields of dance, drama, music and the cultural committee provides a platform for various cultural activities. It arranged various programs every year. During the academic year 2022-2023, birth and death anniversaries of the great leaders, freedom fighters and the great personalities were celebrated in the college to make the students aware of their work and message given by them to the society. The committee organized every year various competitions like Debating, Elocution, Essay writing, Poetry recitation,RangoliDrawing, Flower decoration and Cooking on 19th August, Samajdin’s function. The committee had arranged a large number of students participate in important events like Karmaveer Punjababa Jayanti, Samaj Day, Shiv Jayanti 15th August 26th January 1st May, birth anniversary of various great men, Punyatithi in various programs held in the college.
In the academic year 2022-2023, various competitions were held under the cultural department. A large number of students of our college participated in it. Our college always strives to give scope to their artistic qualities. That’s why our students participate in large numbers in state level, university college hope competitions and achieve success. Preserving the traditional culture, Bhavgeet, Devotional song, Bhajan, Abhang, Lavani, Dance, Mahim, Ekankika, Mimicry Painting, Essay, Vatkritva, Rangoli, make the name of our college famous by participating in various competitions. 79 students participated in various competitions in this academic year of our college Also, a total of 81 students participated in the various competitions of Painting, Anand Melava, Sari day, Traditional Dress, Tie De, Vatkritva, Gathering on the occasion of the Annual Merit Ceremony.
