Best Practice II

  1. Title:

The distribution of grains (Wheat & Rice) to the villagers and people of the tribal community.

  1. Objective:
  • To develop a “Can Do” tendency among the villages and the people of the tribal community.
  • To bridge the gap between the mainstream and the deprived.
  • To create fraternity between the college stakeholders and the villagers.
  • To reduce the inferiority complex of the community.
  • To install a sense of charity among the students and the teachers.
  1. The context:

A man is a social creature. A significant percentage of the population lacks access to necessities. Because of their great empathy, the students and staff gave the villagers grains on the occasion of the Diwali celebration.

  1. The Practice:

First, a venue was chosen for the event. Therefore, a tribal village in the nearby college of Igatpuri tehsil was chosen for the activity. Students and staff were notified to pick up the Grains when the day was finalized. On the 10th October 2022, the entire crew of NSS, Principal, Dr. P. R. Bhabad, Adv. Sandeep Gulve (Director, MVP Samaj Igatpuri) and the chef-guest, Adv. Nitin Thakare (Sarchitinis, MVP Samaj Nashik) distributed the grains by their auspicious hands to the villagers.

  1. Evidence of Success:

The Photographs of the collection of food grains. The people of the village massively responded to the activity. They were extremely happy to receive the Gains.

  1. Problems Encountered and Resources Required:
  • Unavailability of proper roads to reach the destination.
  • The hesitation of the people to respond.
  • Social, Cultural, Linguistic, and Psychological barriers.
