Botany SWOC Analysis

Strengths:

• faculty is well qualified and Research oriented
• Engaged in Extension activities
• Quality contribution towards college administrative work
• Well-equipped lab

Weakness:

• No Postgraduate programme
• Poor communication skill among the students
• Teacher ratio is very high.

Opportunities:

• To start P.G. in Botany
• Development of Botanical Garden
• To start certificate and diploma course

Challenges:

• To increase student’s progression
• To enhance self-reliant among the students
• Student- teacher ratio is unexpectedly high at UG level.
• Having no Departmental Library.

Future Plans

• To start M.Sc. in Botany
• Develop Botanical Garden.
• To improve the Academic, Teaching, and learning quality.
• Botany blog, lecture notes. Ppts, books etc.
