Strengths:

  1. Marathi is spoken by over 83 million people, making it the 10th most spoken language globally.
  2. Active research and extension activities.
  3. Faculty engaged in publishing literature, poetry, and criticism.
  4. Experience-based teaching methods.
  5. Creative writing publications by faculty.
  6. Academic exposure beyond the curriculum.

 

Weaknesses:

  1. Limited integration of Marathi literature with other disciplines like social sciences.
  2. Financial constraints hinder tribal students’ access to higher education.
  3. Low postgraduate enrollment due to students’ reluctance.

 

Opportunities:

  1. Training in proofreading and translation.
  2. Development of literary criticism and review writing.
  3. Promotion of Marathi across various subjects.
  4. Dissemination of information on science, technology, and health in Marathi.

 

Challenges:
